Our computer is going to crap again.
Something is killing the memory. We can’t find any viruses, so I’m guessing it’s a hardware problem. Either way, it runs smoothly for about 30 seconds and then freezes for 2 minutes, then works for 30 seconds…etc. It’s annoying
and because I haven’t had time at school to comment on sites like I should be (and trying it at home takes 4 hours) I have marked my site inactive. I apologize if I didn’t comment on your site. I’ve tried 3 times and it just doesn’t work. And for whatever reason Despair isn’t working today so I have no idea who I was supposed to comment on (the emails go to my computer at home). That said, I will not be posting as frequently as I’d like to (obviously) until our computer gets better.
Happy note: J is finally coming in for good!
He told his boss the next time they go in he won’t be coming out again. He’s QUITTING! I’m so proud of him. It’s a crap job and it’s not helping him so I’m really happy he’ll be done. I have no idea when they’ll come in, but hopefully he’ll have enough money to pay for his Jeep and get a job here.
My grades are improving in Accounting and Store Management, which is great.
I was really worried for a while, but I’ve buckled down and now I’m getting stuff done. It’s fun doing homework when I get it.
Nothing too interesting has been happening. I went bowling last night with friends, which was a lot of fun. The friend I’ve been hangin’ with lately is out of town until Friday night, and she might be busy then. So until Saturday I should be getting some good nights of sleep. I went home at 2am Saturday morning, 6am Sunday morning (pulled an all-nighter), 2am Tuesday morning, and 2am this morning
. It’s been a tiring (but fun!) week/end. I’m due for some good R&R now. heh.

Went to see “300″ on Friday night. Very, very good. It’s got a lot of gore…you know blood and guts and people getting their heads chopped off, but it was still awesome
. I loved the music especially. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes movies such as Troy, Kingdom of Heaven, or Gladiator. I went with a friend and some of the guys she works with at the carwash. They’re all really funny and we had a good time.
Saturday night the same friend and I went to a wedding reception of an older couple her parents know. It was really awkward at first because I didn’t know a soul there, but after the dacing started we had a blast!
My feet hurt so bad at the end of the night, but after dacing to The Twist, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and other oldies hits, I didn’t care! I knew most of the songs and once some of the other party-goers got to drinking it was even better!
It was lots of fun…I am now more inclined to crash wedding receptions.
On another note, J is getting pretty lonely out on the road.
I don’t know exactly what it is about this time that’s different, but he’s having a really hard time and so am I. Their boss is pissing me off because while they’re working he is supposed to be paying for the hotels that the boys stay in. Well, since they are in Kentucky and that’s where his boss lives, he’s staying at his own house and making the guys get a hotel on their own and their boss will take it out of their checks
. They aren’t even working that much so J is losing money every day. Not to mention, the last hotel they were at had a broken phone that wouldn’t take incoming calls (outgoing long distance is expensive so I had to call him). J talked to the guy at the front desk about it and he wasn’t able to remove phone charges, but said he’d take money off the room so J could call me. We talked for about 40 minutes
. The next morning his boss came to pay the balance (the balance would be taken out of the guys checks at the end of the month). Come to find out the clerk never took money off the room and J’s boss was pissed. He bitched him out the rest of the day.
I can’t wait for him to get a job here and be done with all of this crap. It’s complete bullshit and it pisses me off how his boss treats him. He told me if I showed up in Louisville to take him home he’d come with me and never go back. Now if I only had the money…

I apologize for my extended absence
. I was going to write last week, but on Thursday our internet went down
. We just got it back yesterday. I don’t know if the recent blizzard had anything to do with our internet, but I ended up missing 3 tests on Thursday because of the roads
. To give your an example of what it looked like two days after the storm:

Luckily, two of my teachers had already made preparations for the storm and have scheduled times to re-take them. I have one teacher I need to email about making up the exam. Hopefully she’s as nice as the other two about it
. It just wasn’t worth driving that day.
The night of the storm I got a surprise visit. J came home! He drove through the blizzard and got to my house around 3am!
I was so excited! They’d been sitting in KY for a long time with no job to work on, so he managed his way up here to see me.
Unfortunately, he had to leave yesterday
. I guess they finally got a job. I’m just glad he came home. I missed him so much!
I now have Mondays and Wednesdays off work. I am so happy about that!
It’s so hard trying to get everything once a week. Plus, it gives me more time to work on homework, projects, and other stuff for school. I’m excited about the breathing room. I was planning on having Saturday off, but she put me back on the schedule
. One of the girls working is pregnant and getting bigger and the standing is really hurting her back so she won’t be working as much, which is okay because we hired another woman. Hopefully it’ll all work out.
