I’ve taken two tests this week, and because of that I am without homework for the next day or two. What’s even better is that I don’t have classes Monday or Tuesday. I’m off the schedule for Monday and not on until 3 on Tuesday at work, so I actually get to enjoy my days off and sleep in.
She also gave me tomorrow off because she’s training new people. I’m excited about this because they’ll be working full time, which means more days off for everyone.
The high schoolers she had working for us seemed to think they could call in a few hours before they were supposed to work and “let us know” they wouldn’t be able to come in due to homework
. Um…excuse me? This is not your hobby, it’s your job. If you can’t work the hours, don’t tell management you can and then cancel on them when it’s too late for them to make the proper arrangements. Ugh. Those girls made me so mad
. However, they are no longer working for us.
Maybe now they’ll see how the real world works.
This is a song by Saliva called “Here With You”:
Well I heard your voice on a tulsa wind
when I was far away from home
I will come to you in a dream my friend
To love you when I’m gone
And there’s never a second
Never a moment
That you’ll ever be alone
From Memphis to Oklahoma
From Boston to California
From Detriot to Arizona
I will always be forever here with you
The lyrics are hard to find online. When you search for it, almost every site has the lyrics from “Never Gonna Change” instead of the correct lyrics. They are the lyrics from the wrong song, but it’s odd how many sites have made this error. I know it’s an error because as I stated in my last post, I have the CD. People are just stupid.
Anyway, I have other stuff I’d like to get done. Hopefully the next time I write life will be better.

Found out J won’t be home tomorrow, which is our two-year anniversary.
I am pretty depressed about that. He won’t be home for Valentine’s, either. However, he should be here for his 21st birthday and my 20th, which I am hoping will be fun
. I really wanted him to be able to celebrate his 21st with his friends. He won’t be home for a while. I have no idea when he’ll finally make it home. I’m shooting for Spring Break, but I won’t hold my breath. The same thing happened last year.
I have a math test on Tuesday and an accounting test on Thursday. In other words, I’ve got some studying to do!
These two subjects are not going so well for me, but at least I’ve got the rest of the semester to figure it out. Our Art project went pretty well. My half had a lot of information and details, with a few example slides. Her part was less informational, with lots of slides.
They were graded in halves and I got the higher score. She didn’t care though, which isn’t really a big deal. It was her grade that suffered because she waited. At least we have no hard feelings or anything like that.
Work was a lot easier this weekend. Well, it wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t as hectic as it was last weekend
. We were one person short and the new girl was working, so it was interesting, but we did okay. Last weekend we made record sales. They beat out any sales she had done since she opened 4 years ago!
I’m just looking forward to my afternoon off tomorrow. I’ll be spending most of it studying, but at least I won’t be rushed or stressed.
I bought the new Saliva and Stone Sour CDs on Wednesday. They’re both good, but I’m liking Saliva’s better so far. I’ll have to give them both a fair chance, though. You should check them out. I have to update my movies and music sections with my new editions. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Saturday was a roar at work. We had lists of people waiting for dressing rooms.
It was insane, but we sold over 20 dresses that day alone and the sale continued through Sunday. After Saturday I spoke with my boss about how I am working too many hours. Over 30 a week while in college full-time is really hard and a drain on me and my homework.
Just planning a time to get together with someone and work on a project was almost impossible. She totally understood and said as soon as the new people start working full-time (should be by the 16th) she’ll give me another day or two off a week, which would help a great deal
. Friday night I had a breakdown at home because I was stressing out so much.
I lasted a month without it getting to me. I guess I just couldn’t take it any longer. Sunday we were overstaffed, but instead of sending one of the new people home, she sent me. It was so nice. I got to relax for most of the day without worrying about school stuff.
Saturday night a friend and I got a hotel room to have a party. I didn’t drink much at all because I started to not feel so good at about 8 so I quit
. A few people came over but later left. Then about 30 minutes after everyone was gone, two guys that my friend works with showed up. They got a little tipsy and one passed out on her bed. The other refused to sleep on the floor (I didn’t want him sleeping next to me…what would J think??). So he put a bunch of pillows between us and slept next to me. It was weird
. I have a guilty conscience though, so of course I told J about it and he was okay. He made a few cracks about watching me all the time
but he wasn’t upset, so that was good. Otherwise it was a fun time…we did some swimming and sitting in the hot tub area, which was super relaxing.
That friend and I had a project we were supposed to present on Monday, but we decided that because our scheduled conflicted so much, we’d do our halves, and then join them later. I got my half done, but she was busy making dip for a super bowl party and didn’t work on it until the morning of the due date!
I was upset, but she threw her half together and presented it. We’re graded separately, so I’m guessing that since mine was more informational, it’ll do better. I’m just glad it’s done.
