This weekend was so crazy! Work was busy, busy, busy! We sold oodles of prom dresses, which is great! I was told prom sales are up from last year, which I am part of and makes me happy. It’s nice to know that when I’m working my ass off on the weekends it’s paying off and making progress in the business. Saturday night we went out to eat at my boss’s favorite sports bar/”old world pub”. It was fun and I had a great time, but we always do. It’s nice because we all get along so well and can have a good time without arguing. Anyway, this weekend was hectic and very tiring, but a success. I am, however, incredibly excited about having tomorrow off.

Exciting news! Patches was released from her cone prison yesterday, and has been doing great. She hasn’t bit on her leg at all. She has licked all of her legs and feet quite a lot since the removal of the cone, but hasn’t been causing any concern. The hot spot seems to be untouched and left alone. Yay!

I was supposed to do something with a friend the other night, but she never called. She probably got busy. I called her a brat anyway. I don’t have much time to write as it’s getting late and I still have to shower and do my hair, which takes a while even though it’s shorter. Hope you all had a great weekend!

I finally got my hair cut today! I love it! I lost about 3-4 inches in the back, which is really different for me. I didn’t do anything really dramatic, but my hair looks a lot healthier. I also got a nice curling iron that’s 1 1/4 inch in diameter. I needed a bigger one to get the soft curl…otherwise my hair falls straight and looks goofy. Anyway, I am loving it.

Tonight is my first night to myself all week. I don’t have any homework to do tomorrow, I didn’t have to work late, and I don’t have to get up super early tomorrow. I’m happy. I am dreading tomorrow at work because we are booked solid for appointments so any walk-ins we have are only going to add to the chaos that is already planned. There will be walk-in brides and walk-in prom-goers to boot . I don’t mind the prom, but I personally think it’s rather rude to walk in to a bridal shop and expect special treatment when you can see by the cars parked outside how busy it is as you walk in the door. It’s just rude. Ugh.

Well, I don’t have much to talk about so I’m going to get some other things done.

I just got out of Accounting and I am fairly certain I did a fantastic job at bombing the entire thing. I was completely lost with all of the multiple choice questions and don’t even get me started on the forms at the end. Ugh.

Due to an overload of homework this week, I haven’t been able to get a layout up yet. I will have time to work on it tonight for an hour or so, but it probably won’t be up until Friday or Saturday.

On another totally unrelated note, I am currently working my way back down to my skinny jeans. Ha. I’m not fat or anything and quite frankly I could stand to gain a few, but I don’t want to buy a new wardrobe, so I’m just going to cut back a bit and eat a little better and in about a week I should be back to where I want to be. It’s only about 4 pounds or so and they usually go fast . It’s keeping them off that is the hard part . With our new insurance company I can get back on my Adderall, which has been known to cause me a little drop in weight (appetite suppressant). I would love to just go on it and lose a few pounds without worrying about it, but if I leave the weight drop up to the pill, the doctors could pull me off of it. It has been known to cause health issues in younger women because they love the weight loss and lose too much. So my plan is to lose the weight before I get back on it and then make sure I keep steady with my eating 3 times a day. It’s easier to keep weight up than down . I just don’t want them to freak out about 5 pounds when I have been wanting to lose them anyway. You see the problem? Okay…enough of that. Sorry to bore you with my ridiculousness.

Side rant: To those of you who have a tendency to tailgate, STOP. I am so frickin’ sick of those people. It’s one thing to tail someone because they’re going slow and could move over, but if there’s a car in front of them and they can’t move or go faster, BACK OFF. I swear, one of these days I’m going to tap my breaks and teach someone a very hard lesson. Grrr.

All better! I got our computer back this morning and damn was I excited ! It’s all fixed . I guess the virus had spread so K¹’s husband had to delete the viruses and all the little parts that had spread from them. Luckily he didn’t have to delete anything, so it’s just like it was before all that crap happened . Just in time too, being I have a paper due on Wednesday that I was planning on writing, and I hate writing on D’s laptop . I have activated my site on Despair so I can get back into the groove of things. By the way, each time I try to go on to Exentrique’s site, I get a warning about some spyware stuff. I’ll just comment using the emails I get and hopefully not have to access my user panel area.

School is going better. They booted my registration due to late payment, so I had to run around and get signatures from my teachers allowing me back into their class. Talk about embarrassing. I guess a lot of people are pissed and enrollment is down so they’re trying to figure something else out. I also just found out about 10 minutes ago that my DARS report is stating I still need to take one more credit for this semester to graduate, which makes no sense being that I’ve got all of the requirements nearly completed . I have everything listed on the program outline almost done. I spoke with a counselor who told me I needed 17 credits to graduate and where I needed them. I followed the instructions exactly and am taking 17 credits, each applying towards graduation. Now where the hell did this one credit come from? It’s so irritating . I really dislike how my school operates. I’ve heard so many stories from people who were close to graduating and then something came up and they got stuck for another semester. I’ll have to go in to see a counselor again to get this matter straightened out .

I don’t really want to sit here and ramble because I’ve got a lot of work to do. Hope you all have a great week and I should have a new layout up soon.

Our home PC is still not fixed . Hopefully it will be picked up today and my sister’s husband will fix it soon. I’m at school and finally caught a break where I can do something. This week so far has been hectic. I have no personal time at all . My boss has got me working any time I’m not in school and when I am in school I don’t have time to sit down and update. I’m hoping over the weekend I’ll get some time to do the layout and add a few things . My site needs more visitor content and I know that. I just have no idea what my plans are. For now, I’m just trying to get a computer at home!

On the work front, BIG NEWS! I got a raise! Yeah my boss sat me down and was telling me how she appreciates me coming in early and working late and on days I wasn’t scheduled for and that I’ve been more of a leader lately. I have no idea how or what it is I’m doing right, but it’s working . The raise won’t be on this next paycheck, but the one after. This paycheck will have over 60 hours on it, which is over 30 per week! That’s a lot for a full-time student. I’m just excited that I’ll have really nice paychecks coming up. I am hoping we get another person because right now everyone is working every day they can. I’m on 6 nights a week, so more than one day off would be refreshing. The woman that just got hired 2 weeks ago was recently fired. But she wasn’t really helpful or a great worker and actually backed into my parked car the other night claiming she couldn’t see it. My gas tank cover has shifted a bit, but nothing severe. So now we’re looking for a new person and until then I’m stuck working my ass off. Oh well. Like I said, the paychecks are nice.

School isn’t looking too bad right now, but it’s only the first week. I think I should be able to handle it. I’ve got some of my books and I’ve still got to order one. The two books I have left to buy are not really needed right away, so I’m safe there and can wait until my next paycheck on Tuesday. This time with books I’m going to be careful. No more ordering books and never getting them.

Damn it feels so good to write again. I hate not blogging for so long. I get ancy. Well I hope you all have a great weekend! N turned 20 on Tuesday , so we’re celebrating with a hot tub and alcohol at her place after we get off work . It’s a nice way to end a rough day and a good way to celebrate non-teenagerdom. I know that’s not a word, but you’ll live.
