This will be a short post, but I really wanted to get on here to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas! J bought me a beautiful leather coat and so did M. Oh she was not happy. Anyway, it’s been a busy day and J is waiting for me on the couch. Again, I hope you all have a great holiday and I will write again soon!

So I was pretty impressed and relieved to find that Askimet had caught 49 spam on the last post. The post before that was 53. I love my spam blocker. I really, really do.

New layout! I know…wait ’til the last minute, right? This was actually the third layout I had designed for Christmas. The first two just didn’t look right. I tried changing the whole design and got so fed up I reverted back to basics. Oh well. I like it. It’s not your typical red and green, but it’s still got that holiday flair. I’m happy with it.

J came home tonight! I wasn’t expecting him until tomorrow night, but his boss let him go a day early, so that was nice. Right now he’s passed out on my couch. It’s so cute. Poor baby. He told me, “Just a little catnap and I’ll be fine. Just a little nap.”

The drama at the workplace has subsided. We just don’t talk about it. I guess it’s no big deal. Today I ended up taking care of things by myself for about 1 1/2 hours, which was weird, but nice . I know what I can do around the place and it’s nice to be able to choose what to do instead of someone constantly telling me what I need to do. I liked it.

N and I finally made plans to do something, but since J came home early and the weather got shoddy, we ended up canceling. I finally text her a few nights ago something along the lines of, “I miss being friends.” And then I proceeded to explain to her that her man isn’t her only relationship and not to forget the rest of us. So this week she was really hasty to make plans, which was a change. I can’t really blame her for hoarding her man. I did a somewhat similar thing when J and I first started dating, though N and I were still in school and saw each other every day. I think she just needed a reminder to not forget about her friends. This is her first serious relationship and I need to remember that. She’s not naturally rude, so I have to give her the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully I will see her soon.

I have humiliated my dog . She’s got this really awful hotspot on her leg that has just gotten worse and is now twice the size of her other leg . So, to stop her from itching it so it can heal, I got her a cone on Saturday. After we finally got it on, she wouldn’t look at me for the rest of the day. It was a little too long for her though, since she couldn’t eat or anything. We left it off for the night so we could have a whole day with her while she gets used to it. Sunday we trimmed it a little, but found out she could get to her leg if she bent the right way . We ended up putting her regular collar back on, which pushes the cone forward a little, and it seems to have made the perfect combination . She’s been going over 24 hours with it on and her hotspot is scabbing over and healing. She did manage to take a chunk of the cone out after trying to go up the steps too fast . This is what I have done to my poor puppy. Try not to laugh.

I’ll start with the work part. I finally finished classes including my internship. I had to hand in the employer evaluation (where my employer evaluates me), the self-evaluation, and somehow manage to schedule a work-site visit . Well, my boss has been in and out of the hospital with an infection in her eye so it’s been hard to try to get a time planned and have her do my evaluation. I got the evaluation back yesterday at work, but I couldn’t get a hold of my teacher . Long story short, she was nice and because my boss was at home sick, she gave me the points and left it at that. Great, right? Well, sort of. I read my evaluation, which I got a B on and I have no idea why. It’s not like I filled it out! But anyway, my boss gave me high and low 4s (highest is 5). Some areas got low 4s that seemed wrong to me . Like “initiative.” I am never just standing around. I’m constantly finding things to do, and most of the time I don’t even have to think of things because my boss will usually give me a list of things to do. With things like that I’m just not sure what she means .

The new woman working with us has officially taken over my Fridays, so I no longer work on those days, except for this coming week because the bosses are gone and the new lady can’t . But who knows, that might change. I got last Saturday off and I got a call this afternoon saying I had this Saturday off too now. WTF? Why? I’m going to drive by tomorrow and I swear if the new lady (who was not scheduled for tomorrow) is working, I’ll be so pissed I might quit . We’re supposed to have our company Christmas party and we’re all going out to eat, but who knows. Things are so screwy and for a woman who values honesty, my boss is sure hard-pressed to be honest about scheduling with her employees . Whatever. I might not stay very long. Apparently I suck at what I do; at least that’s what it feels like . That is all of the crap happening at work. On to the rest of my life this week…

Yup, yup. I got Saturday off work, so my parents and I decided that it would be a good day to decorate . Well, they went to watch my nephew play basketball, and I stayed home. I brought up boxes and tubs full of Christmas stuff and started decorating . It’s like tradition in my family to put on some Christmas music in the living room while you decorate, and that’s exactly what I did. However, I was short on time and instead of running into town, I kind-of-sort-of downloaded the entire Aly & AJ - Acoustic Hearts in Winter CD. I know; I’m a naughty girl , but I do like the music. I’m not a fan of musicians who re-make Christmas music and change it all so it sounds nothing like the original. I just want some fresh-sounding Christmas music, and that’s exactly what this CD is. Even my own mother loves it. She wants a copy . Here is a lyric from one of their songs (there are 2 on the CD that are new, the rest are classic Christmas songs):

Yeah, I had the CD on repeat for about 3 hours :lol: At least the house looks great. I would put pictures up, but they look like crap because of the lights. With no flash they look stupid, and with a flash it doesn’t make sense. Now if I had my Dad’s camera from work… (he’s a photographer). Oh well. You’ll just have to use your imagination.

That’s pretty much the most exciting thing that has been happening. This is the last week of classes, which I am thrilled about. I can’t WAIT to sleep in and be able to relax . That is what I love about college Christmas break…it’s also the end of the semester, so I have NO homework or anything that I need to do for three weeks! And I’m actually understanding this chapter in Math, so I should be able to pull of an A or B on the test which would really make me happy . I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
