Oh my! So much to write! My sister called from Hawaii. They wore their “sexy bride” and “sexy groom” hats on their flight and got their seats changed so they could sit together . They also get free calls to the mainland (here) for free because it’s their honeymoon. So the lesson here is: Cheap, personalized baseball caps = Free stuff Well done sister, well done .

On another less exciting note, I have super chapped lips! I haven’t had it this bad in years. The edge of my bottom lip towards the inside of my mouth is all red and in pain . I was constantly running to my purse for more chap stick at work today. Grr .

I took a math test today. I know for sure I got a few wrong. Of course the Friday before my sisters wedding I missed class to get a pedi/mani . So I missed the lecture on the more complicated math problems. So I am quite certain I did not do so well. But, just in case, I still have my fingers crossed . I managed to get lucky on my computer class test. The wording she used for the test was really confusing and I saw how other people’s papers were printing out and mine looked totally different…so I was sure I got a lot wrong. I found out I only got one point off because I put the balances in ascending order instead of the requested descending. Wow ! I was impressed with myself. Makes me wonder what the other people got.

What is up with gas prices? I know it’s elections and so prices drop, but they were down to $2.04/gal. yesterday. This morning it flew to $2.24/gal. and then later today it dropped a little to $2.18/gal. Pick a freaking price!!

PS: For the record: the bridesmaid’s dresses were burnt orange, not red. Just an fyi .

Yup! They got married Saturday! It was a beautiful wedding! We haven’t gotten many pictures, but these are a few I snagged from my mom’s camera. There wasn’t many of the bride and a lot of them were blurry. This is the best one I got, but it’s important to remember she’s sitting in a chair lol .

Sorry I haven’t been commenting lately! I have been super busy without any time to think! I promise that I will get back to blogging soon. I’m trying to get my school stuff together and with my new job I haven’t had much time to sit down and write. Unfortunately, tonight is one of those nights. I will try to write more soon, I swear! The wedding is this Saturday. I have my final fitting today for my dress, I still have to do my highlights some time this week, and I have to work tonight, Thursday, and Friday. I have no time for anything. Our bathroom is under contruction because we took the doors out and put a curtain up instead, but there was a lot of extra work involved with that, so the bathroom is a mess . My mother is freaking out about cleaning and I found out I’ll be sleeping on an air matress the few nights before the wedding because we have guests at our house and guess who’s room gets used…yeah, mine . I cleaned 9 of my 15 shelves in my room on Sunday, so it’s all ready for people . I finally got the word on my books. I filed a claim for the one who was scamming people, and the other chick just refunded my money saying she couldn’t send the book . So now I have no books coming and it could be up to 30 days before I see a refund on the scam one. Argh. I’m also broke-ish so this is not good. I’m getting paid today, but half of it goes towards my dress. Someday I’ll need to buy my books and I have $400 due on October 3rd. I think I’m going to need a little help with that one. Jeez .

J might not make it to the wedding, which will really suck . They took a sort of mini-break, which his boss has a tendency to do, so he likes to just say that’s their going-in break, but he doesn’t say how long it will be so J can never come home. Then he ends up staying our for another month and a half after that. If he doesn’t make it to the wedding, I probably won’t see him until the end of October or later, making it about 3 months. I hate his boss . It’s not the first time he’s pulled that shit. He did it in January and I didn’t see J for 2 months and after that he did it twice so it was 3 months until I saw my man. I swear if he doesn’t let him come in for the wedding I will call him myself and tell him exactly what I think of him. You have no idea how much this pisses me off .

Well, I’ve got class and I need to go get my paychecks. Hope you all have a better week than I will! .

Last night was so long at work. I didn’t work that many hours, but when you are on your feet at all times running all over helping people and getting things, it gets exhausting fast . I know it will get better. The hours flew by today so that was nice. I am actually replacing a girl who wasn’t doing so hot there. When I went in Tuesday, I guess that morning my boss left her a message telling her they wouldn’t be needing her and what-not. Well, she never got the message and came in anyway! I felt so uncomfortable that I went back and hid in the bridal gowns until she left LOL . I guess she wasn’t very nice because when she was supposed to be learning things, she was instead telling the other people how to do it…while they were teaching her. Apparently she was rude and whatever, but who knows? I’m just glad I’ve got a schedule set and am actually sticking with the hours. I worked Tuesday, yesterday, and today. I also work tomorrow along with three other people including the boss. She is so cool though. I really like working with her. She’s nice about things, but when you misplace things and make little mistakes, she’ll tell you and wow…it really makes you remember it a lot better after that . She’s putting me in charge of window displays, which includes prom! That’s exactly what I want to get into so I’m really excited for that !

Wedding plans are moving right along. I have to work the friday before, but I get off just in time to get to the rehersal at the church. I might be just a tad late though. I can’t believe it’s 7 days to the wedding! I can’t believe my sister is getting married. I’ve practiced calling her by her new last name, but it’s just too weird .

I’m off to bed. I get so tired now. This is what a real job does to ya, huh? No wonder people never want to do stuff after work .

That’s right! You’ll notice that this layout is not version 3, but version 2.5. I decided to create a layout in honor of my sister’s wedding coming up on September 23. It says, “Congratulations K & J,” which in case you are wondering, is not my J, but hers. Her finance’s name starts with a J. I hope that didn’t confuse anyone . I was going for a more elegant look. The colors for her wedding are burnt orange and champange. It’s a little hard to make a decent looking burnt orange and fit it into the layout color scheme, so I kind of ended up with brown-ish tones. The border is more of an orange. The words, “I belong to you,” are actually from their “first-dance-song” by Lenny Kravitz. The song goes something like this:
